TCP/IP Infrastructure

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is an industry-standard suite of protocols designed for large-scale internetworks that span LAN and WAN environments.

Gateway The gateway address is the IP address that the local host uses to forward IP datagrams to other IP networks. This is either the IP address of a local network adapter or the IP address of an IP router (such as a default gateway router) on the local network segment.

TCP/IP Configuration

  1. Open [My Nework Places] and Open [Properties] of Local Area Connection

  2. Select [Internet Protocol TCP/IP] and click [Properties]

  3. Type IP Addresses and click [Advanced...]

  4. Add DNS address and click [OK]

  5. Add WINS address and click [OK]
