Active Directory and DNS

Install Active Directory and DNS
- Open [Configure Your Server], select [One or more servers are already running in my network.] and click [Next]

Notice: If you don't select this option, your DNS server on the computer cannot resolve domain name in the Internet.
- Click [Active Directory] link

- Click [Start] link and run Active Directory wizard.

- Click [Next]

- Select [Domain controller for a new domain] and click [Next]

- Select [Create a new domain tree] and click [Next]

- Select [Create a new forest of domain trees] and click [Next]

- Type the full DNS name and click [Next]

Important:If you have a real domain (i.e. hoge.edu.bt) don't use this name here. Use something like hoge.local to differenciate the real domain and your local domain.
- Type the NetBIOS Domain Name for earlier versions of Windows and click [Next]

- Change locations and click [Next]

- Change [Sysvol folder] and click [Next]

- Click [OK] and install DNS Server

- Click [Next]

- Click [Next]

- Type Administrator Password and click [Next]

- Click [Next]

- Wait for some time...

- Click [Finish]

- Click [Restart Now]
