NAVCE7.5 - Configuring Quarantine Server

Run SSC from the Start menu.

Right click on the Norton AntiVirus Quarantine label and choose Attach to Server.

Enter the Server Name, Username, Password and Domain. The Server Name is the server which is running the Quarantine Server you installed earlier. The Username and Password is usually an administrator account on the Domain the Quarantine Server is part of. Note: A different dialog box may appear in certain cases. If you are running SSC on the same computer as the Quarantine Server, choose This Computer.

Click OK.

Right click on the Norton AntiVirus Quarantine label again and choose Properties.

These values define how the Quarantine Server will operate.

The Folder Location is a folder on the Quarantine Server where quarantined files will be held. Normally this should be a top level folder called Quarantine on a drive which has sufficient disk space.

Maximum Size determines the maximum size of a file the Quarantine Server will accept. Choose an appropriate value between 50 and 300 MB. For this reason, the Quarantine folder should not be located on the main system drive.

Tick the Listen on IP box.

Enter a value of 3655 for the Port.

All other settings on other window tabs do not require changes at this stage.

Click OK to complete the Quarantine Server configuration.
